A Cousin of the Frilled Lizard, The Snake Guardian Pin

This wire wrapped cutie is a total hoot to do! From its polymer clay head in swirls of interesting colors all the way down its beaded back to its curled wire tail, this adorable pin wiol win yur heart.

Pretty easy to make, can be done by folks who know the basics in about 2 hours, and easily learned by newbies, this pin can be as big or small as you'd like. We have it at about 2 1/2" wide, enjoying the way the tail curls and compressing the coils as much as possible. As you provide the seed beads, you can add accents of your own to the "e" beads and "scale" beads. We've got red, blue, gold, and purple and some others by request.

Kit descriptions use, but do not require the Twist 'n' Curl tool (which can be purchased with this kit). Alternative methods are described for those who already have a wire wrapping
tool or something similar. The method described creates that wonderful coil that mimics scales. We're also making "refill heads" available, and on request, will package this kit for group projects.

This kit is designed by Myra Anson Nicholas in memory of the many chameleons, gekkos, newts and various lizards she enjoyed (as a child) and the fond memories she had of her mother washing dishes with one of them always on her shoulder basking in the warmth of the kitchen.
