We suggest you use a type of glue called "crazy glue" if you are going to do that. Those holes are only about 1/4" deep. The faces are shiny, from the pearl-ex powders used in the molding process. We can custom make any colors, but prefer if you allow us some latitude (purples & blues, blue/silver, black/silver, red/gold... etc...) These sun/moonfaces have a lot of uses, On the right is a fully beaded & pearled one already done to get an idea.

NEW!! We now have "pearl kitz" for those who want to make their own pearl framed moonfaces. They contain about 55 dyed freshwater pearls in a color mix to compliment your moonface purchase. These are similar from the sunfaces above and cast from the same wood carving. In this case I have left some of the rays on them and textured them to give the a unique look. Some have a hole top to bottom through the edge of the 1/4 to 1/2" thick surface, which will allow wire up to about 22 gauge (possibly even 20 gauge) to go through. We'll be glad to try and get within the color family you request, but cannot guarantee how many rays are showing or how they show. On the left is a beautiful faux cameo made from Polymer Clay. Marvelously detailed and 1 1/2" in diameter, this beauty comes in a variety of colors. We've got pearl white, pink pearl and what is pictured is Fimo's color "Rose Quartz" with an interference red pearl-ex powder dusted on to bring up the detail. These are not finished with a gloss, as we feel that takes away the cameo look. Imagine this nested in the center of a black victorian lace collar! We also have another version of the cameo I call the "Coin Cameo" (see below, left) as she resembles the face of a coin. She's not more than 1/8" thick, and upon request, a center hole can be put in. Other colors in the pastel range are also available. Cameos are $4.00 each, or 4 for $15.00. (plus shipping). On the right is our "ethnic mask" which reminds me a lot of the Inuit Mask designs i've seen. They're 1" diameter and deeply carved. They can be ordered with or without hole top to bottom, and they come in both mixed colors and solids. (see sunface color designs for mixed colors). We also have these made in FIMO's stone effects in green, lapis and rose quartz. It makes for a spectacular effect when done in a brilliant gold or copper (with pearlescent powders to accent the raised effect), and a plain black is also very dramatic. Another great jewelry item full of possibilities is the dragonfly heart and butterfly hearts. They are wonderful as pendants and come in a variey of colors, each featuring fine detail brought up by careful dusting of Pearl-Ex powders in sparkling blues, greens golds, and pinks to accentuate the features. Dramatic or subtle but interesting and definitely different! They're unique, handmade, and shimmer with powdered mica, these polymer clay "fossils" are ready to incorporate into your pendants, pins and and more to give a totally new look to a beaded piece. You get a subtle, but dramatic look with these handmade beauties, and since each one is individually made (the clay colors hand mixed and then molded) and hand-tinted with different powders, clay colors and sizes, no two will be exactly alike. They currently come in two sizes, small and medium, and a variety of shapes. The small are between a quarter and a dime in size, and the medium are about 1 1/2 larger. (see the small shape set for color & shapes.) The medium offers fewer shapes, but more designs. All fossil beads have holes through them. Take a look at the medium sized shapes & design samples.
